Person detained for attempting to sell khokim’s reserved land for $200,000 in Yukorichirchik

A person who attempted to sell 5 hectares of land from the khokim's reserve for $200,000 has been detained in the Yukorichirchik district of the Tashkent region. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the report, during an operational operation, citizen B.S. offered to sell 5 hectares of land located in the Miyam-Kangli mahalla of the Yukorichirchik district, which is part of the khokim’s land reserve. He promised to secure an official decision from the district khokim through his high-level connections and to arrange for the issuance of cadastral documents in the buyer’s name. B.S. was detained with material evidence while receiving $50,000 as an advance payment.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 4, Clause “a” of Article 168 (Fraud) and Part 3, Clause “a” of Article 28,211 (Bribery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Investigative actions are currently underway.
It is worth noting that earlier, an investigator from the Urgench City Prosecutor's Office in the Khorezm region was caught first taking a bribe and then returning it.
