Authorities respond to bridge collapse in Tashkent Region

On March 8, a section of a bridge in the Yangiyo‘l district of Tashkent region collapsed. This was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs Traffic Safety Service.
The incident occurred on the 58th kilometer of the D022 “Nurafshon–Okkorgan–Yangiyul” highway. According to the report, “No civilians or vehicles were on the bridge at the time of the collapse.”
Currently, the bridge is under the supervision of relevant organizations and Road Traffic Safety Service officers. Measures have been taken to ensure the safe movement of road users.
It is worth noting that a similar incident was previously reported in the Piskent district of Tashkent region, where a bridge collapsed due to a truck carrying a load exceeding the 8-ton limit.
