New Year festivities in Tashkent: traffic is limited on some streets

From December 10, 2024, to January 15, 2025, traffic will be restricted on several key streets in Tashkent. The press service of the capital's administration announced the changes, which are aimed at ensuring public safety and maintaining order during New Year’s celebrations.

According to the report, traffic restrictions are being implemented to facilitate the preparation and smooth conduct of New Year’s Eve events. The following streets will have restricted access to vehicles during this period:

• Zarafshan Street: The section between the Hyatt Regency Tashkent Hotel security checkpoint and Matbuotchilar Street.
• Istiklol Street: The section between Amir Temur and Buyuk Turon Streets.
• Buyuk Turon Street: The section from the intersection with Istiklol Street to "Yoshlar Uyghurd Sarayi."

Authorities have advised residents and visitors to use alternative routes during the restriction period to avoid delays.
