Another bank was fined

"Orient Finans" Khatb Termiz branch was fined for violating advertising legislation. This was reported by the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights.

According to reports, the committee received an appeal regarding the legality of outdoor advertising tools installed by "Orient Finans" in Termiz, Surkhandarya region. During the review of this appeal, it was discovered that the necessary documents authorizing the installation of external advertising tools by the bank branch in front of their office on Hakim At-Termizi Street in Termiz city (such as passports, certificates, permits, and other relevant documents) and the distribution of advertising information in accordance with the procedure established by local authorities were not signed.

"Taking into account the above, Articles 24 and 25 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Advertising" and the Cabinet of Ministers' Decision No. 104 "On Regulation of the Outdoor Advertising Market," regarding signs of violation of the regulations, a case was initiated against the Termiz branch of "Orient Finans" Khatb, and a financial penalty was imposed as a result," the report said.

It should be noted that "Ipotekabank" and "AVO bank" JSC were also fined for false advertising.
