Recently, the situation in the Middle East has become tense. After Iran's missile attack on Israel, the risk of a retaliatory strike and further escalation has grown. Under such conditions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan is closely monitoring the situation. This was announced by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahror Burkhanov.

"Uzbekistan's embassy in Israel is strengthening its relationship with the state authorities and management bodies, as well as with our compatriots in this country," he said.

It is reported that recommendations on personal safety are being distributed on the website of the embassy and its social media pages. In particular, relevant information is provided on the need to seek shelter in bomb shelters during rocket attacks, comply with official information, and always carry identification documents and the contact information of the Embassy of Uzbekistan.

"Citizens who need help or advice can contact the diplomatic mission 24/7 through social networks and phone numbers. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan is constantly monitoring the situation," said Burkhanov.

For information, on the evening of October 1 this year, Iran attacked Israel with missiles. Israel's army radio reported that about 200 rockets had been fired from Iran into Israel. Later, the Israeli military announced that residents were free to leave their shelters. Israel promised a "painful response" to Iran. Israeli media indicated that the army was expected to launch a strong strike throughout the Middle East on the night of October 2.

It should be noted that previously, "Flynas" and "Qeshm Air" airlines temporarily stopped flights to Uzbekistan due to the escalating situation in the Middle East and the closure of part of the airspace over Iran. Kazakhstan airlines were also advised not to fly through Iranian airspace. Since yesterday, October 2, "Uzbekistan Airways" has been conducting flights bypassing the airspace of Iraq and Iran to ensure security amid the turbulent situation in the Middle East.
