Jalaluddin Masharipov, a key player for Uzbekistan's national team and the "Istiqlal" football club, has officially extended his contract with the Iranian side for an additional two years. The club's press service confirmed the news.

According to the new agreement, Masharipov’s tenure with "Istiqlal" will now last until 2027. Despite strong interest from Fergana's "Neftchi" club, the 31-year-old winger opted to remain with his current team, continuing his journey in the Persian Gulf Pro League.

For context, Masharipov joined "Istiqlal" in 2023. Since then, he has featured in 21 matches across all competitions, contributing 1 goal and 3 assists. His market value, as listed on the "Transfermarkt" portal, is €1.80 million, showcasing his significance as an attacking midfielder.

The decision to extend his contract underscores both the player's commitment to "Istiqlal" and the club’s confidence in his abilities. Fans and analysts alike are eager to see what the upcoming seasons hold for the talented Uzbek international.
