On October 21, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed regional governors to establish technical schools affiliated with the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies. The announcement was made during a video selector meeting on the progress of the national "Green Space" project and future priorities.

The President has reviewed the capabilities of the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies, which will train 500 bachelor’s and master’s students in fields such as ecology, sustainable management, environmental economics, environmental law, innovation, and digitization.

"This initiative aims to build a strong foundation for preparing modern professionals in the environmental sector," the report states.

Governors were tasked with setting up one technical school of this university in each region, complemented by a dendrology garden to provide scientific and practical training for students.

Starting from the new academic year, the university will implement dual education, organize short courses on topics such as seed production, planting, and climate change, and conduct programs to enhance the skills of 1,000 employees annually.

Previously, during a presentation on waste processing, electricity generation, and production projects at the Central Asian University of Environment and Climate Change, President Mirziyoyev emphasized the critical importance of addressing environmental challenges, referring to them as issues that "decide the life and death of the country."
