Earlier reports suggested that students from a specialized Bukhara school in Almalyk, Tashkent region, had been poisoned by drinking water. However, the health of the students has improved, with seven receiving treatment at home.

According to Akmal Murodov, press secretary of "Uzsuvtaminot" JSC, four water samples taken from the school confirmed that the drinking water meets established standards. Murodov also stated that no complaints were received from residents regarding the quality of the drinking water.

The Almalyk city department of the Tashkent regional sanitary-epidemiological service conducted tests on September 20, reaffirming that the water supplied to the school complied with all necessary regulations.

From September 15 to 19, twelve students were suspected of having acute intestinal illness and were referred to the Department of Infectious Diseases. According to the Children's Ombudsman, the health of all affected students is now stable.

Further investigations are being carried out by the Almalyk District Prosecutor's Office, the Children's Ombudsman, and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education to determine the exact cause of the incident.
