Uzhydromet issues urgent warning

A risk of snow avalanches has been announced in the mountainous areas of Tashkent region, according to an urgent warning issued by Uzhydromet.
It was noted that due to the sharp temperature fluctuations expected from November 5 to 7 this year, there is a risk of snow avalanches at altitudes of 2,000 meters above sea level in the mountainous areas of Bustonliq, Ohangaron, and Parkent districts (Chatkal mountain range) of Tashkent region.
Residents of mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers traveling through mountain roads are advised to take precautionary measures.
It is worth noting that earlier, Uzhydromet issued a warning about possible strong winds in several regions of Uzbekistan. In particular, in Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions, wind speeds may increase up to 13–18 m/s in some areas.
