Artists who perform concerts abroad without notifying Uzbekkonsert, the state cultural agency, will have their licenses revoked, according to a recent announcement from the press service of "Uzbekkonsert".

Under Article 21 of Uzbekistan's Law on Cultural Activities and Cultural Organizations, "Uzbekkonsert" requires written notification from artists planning to hold concerts outside the country.

Additionally, the "Licensing Passport for Concert and Spectacle Activities," as approved in Decision No. 80 on February 22, 2022, mandates that concert activities abroad without written notification to "Uzbekkonsert" constitute a serious breach of licensing terms.

“"Uzbekkonsert" stresses that organizing concerts outside Uzbekistan without informing the agency is illegal and warns artists against doing so," the report states.

At present, "Uzbekkonsert" reports that no singers have been found planning concerts abroad without adhering to this requirement.

"However, the agency warns that licenses will be revoked for any artist who fails to comply," the message states.

In related news, a draft decision by the Cabinet of Ministers is currently under discussion to ensure that concert repertoires in Uzbekistan align with national traditions and universal values.
