Uzbek marathoner Shahrukh Davlatov has secured a spot at the Summer Olympics, which will be hosted by Paris, the capital of France, next year. This was reported by the press service of the National Olympic Committee (NOC).

According to the source, national record holder Shahrukh Davlatov, a member of the national track and field team of Uzbekistan, managed to meet the norms of the Paris-2024 Olympics in the marathon program (42 km, 195 meters).

He earned the opportunity to participate in the most prestigious competition of four years due to his performance at the "Valencia Marathon Trinidad Alfonso" held in Spain.

Davlatov recorded a time of 2:07:02 (2 hours, 7 minutes, 2 seconds) in this tournament. This is 1 minute, 8 seconds better than the requirement for the Paris-2024 Olympics. Shahrukh also managed to break the national record (2:13:28) set 38 years ago. In the prestigious competition in Valencia, Davlatov secured 18th place overall.
