The number of Olympic licenses of Uzbekistan has reached 36

Yesterday, on April 21, Rustam Assakalov (97 kg), a member of the Greco-Roman wrestling team of Uzbekistan, secured a place among the Paris-2024 Olympians. The athlete, who will turn 40 this year, defeated Yuri Nakazato from Japan in the license tournament held in Kyrgyzstan. Assakalov clinched victory over the host representative Uzur Juzupbekov in the decisive match, earning a ticket to the Olympic Games.

The International Gymnastics Federation announced the names of the athletes who qualified for the Paris-2024 Summer Olympic Games following the conclusion of the World Cup in gymnastics.

Rasuljon Abdurahimov, the Uzbek athlete, earned the right to participate in the Olympic Games for the second time in his career through successful participation in the parallel bars.

As of now, the Uzbekistan delegation has secured 36 Olympic licenses for the Paris-2024 Olympics.
