Following the ceremony, both parties engaged in discussions about the prospects for strengthening Uzbek-Croatian relations. The meeting highlighted opportunities for expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two nations.

"The parties stressed their interest in intensifying cooperation in a number of important areas of mutual interest," the report stated.

For context, 46-year-old Oybek Shakhavdinov holds degrees from the University of Birmingham (UK), Tashkent State Law University (master's degree), and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
