Sayidikrom Niyozkhujaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, is concluding his diplomatic mission in Astana. He was received by Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Murat Nurtleu, according to the "Dunyo" news agency.

''During the meeting, Minister Nurtleu highlighted that thanks to the political will of the leaders of both countries, Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan relations have elevated to a level of strategic partnership and alliance in recent years,'' the report said.

In recognition of his significant contributions to strengthening bilateral relations, Niyozkhujaev was awarded Kazakhstan's highest state honor, the "Dostiq" Order of the 2nd Class, by decree of the President of Kazakhstan.

For context, Niyozkhujaev, born in 1965, was appointed Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Kazakhstan in March 2018. Before this role, he held several senior positions within the administration of the President of Uzbekistan and various state bodies, including Deputy State Adviser and Deputy Minister of Economy. He also served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan from 2015 to 2018.

It should be noted that previously, Kahramon Shokirov, Uzbekistan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Singapore and Australia, completed his diplomatic mission in both countries.
