On January 13, Uzbekistan’s Olympic national team defeated South Korea 2–0 in the third round of the Asian Cup group stage, securing a place in the knockout phase of the tournament. Ravshan Haydarov’s side will now face China in the quarter-finals.
The match between the two teams is scheduled to take place on January 16, with kickoff set for 16:30 Tashkent time.
For reference, China’s Olympic national team finished second in Group D of the Asian Cup, recording two draws and one win to advance to the quarter-finals. Uzbekistan’s Olympic national team, meanwhile, topped Group C with two victories and one draw to qualify for the quarter-final stage.
The winner of the match between Uzbekistan and China will face the winner of the Vietnam–United Arab Emirates fixture in the semi-finals.
