In light of the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, Uzbek citizens have been strongly advised to avoid traveling to either country. The warning was issued by Ahror Burkhanov, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, via his official Telegram channel.
“The rapidly escalating situation in the Middle East causes us deep concern. Uzbekistan has always called on all parties in the region to work towards peace through negotiations,” Burkhanov wrote.
In this context, citizens of Uzbekistan have been urged to refrain from traveling to Israel and Iran. Those currently in these countries are advised to relocate to safer areas whenever possible.
“Necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of our citizens. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and follow official updates,” the spokesperson added.
It is worth noting that Uzbek citizens in Israel were previously warned about the introduction of new security restrictions amid the deteriorating security situation there.
