Citizens of Uzbekistan who have been deported from Ukraine to Poland for further evacuation may stay in the country (Poland) until 15 March. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Yusup Kabuljanov, reported this.

"The Special Commission for the evacuation of the population from Poland, set the deadline for evacuation until 15 March 2022. Then the visa-free regime for foreigners will end and fines will be imposed”, – the official of the Ministry states.

According to his report, until March 15, 2022, citizens of Uzbekistan will be able to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border independently, individually without a visa.

“The Uzbek Embassy in Poland fully controls the situation at Katowice Airport and the assembly point. The diplomatic mission rented buses to transport our citizens from the border to the airport (340 km). In addition, hot meals, recreation areas and medical services, especially for mothers and children, have been provided» – Kabuljanov says.

According to the report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, 1,859 Uzbek citizens who fled from Ukraine to Poland were repatriated on eight flights.
