Blinken will come to Uzbekistan

Earlier, we reported that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is visiting Uzbekistan.  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan confirmed Blinken's trip to Tashkent.  It is reported that the trip is planned from 28 February - 1 March.

"United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will visit Tashkent from February 28 to March 1, 2023.  The main purpose of the visit is to discuss the issues of further development of Uzbekistan-US strategic partnership," the official Tashkent news said.

According to the information provided by Ned Price, the head of the Press Service of the US State Department, Anthony Bilinken will visit Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and India from 28 February to 3 March of this year.

In Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, the head of the American diplomacy will participate in a ministerial meeting in the format of a multilateral cooperation mechanism between the five countries of Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan) and the United States.

On 1 March, Blinken will fly to New Delhi, where he will participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of the G20 countries.

For information, this is Anthony Blinken's first visit to Uzbekistan since he was appointed to the position of Secretary of State.  He is expected to meet with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
