Uzbeks can now go to work in Qatar

Uzbeks can now work in Qatar as there will be cooperation between the two countries on the recruitment of workers. On January 11, the President's decision, "On the approval of the international agreement," was adopted.

According to the decision, the agreement on cooperation between the governments of Uzbekistan and Qatar regarding the recruitment of workers was approved. This agreement was signed on June 6, 2023, in the city of Samarkand.

The Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Employment has been designated as the competent body responsible for implementing this international agreement. The Cabinet of Ministers and the heads of relevant ministries and departments will ensure the control over the implementation of its provisions after the entry into force of this international agreement.

A reminder that since October 2023, citizens of Uzbekistan have had the opportunity to visit Qatar without a visa.
