Nikolay Lyubarsev, a renowned Uzbekistani football goalkeeper and Master of Sports of the USSR, has died at the age of 81. This information was reported by the Information Service of the Football Association of Uzbekistan.

“We extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to the relatives and family members of the deceased, Nikolay Lyubarsev, who was one of the well-known goalkeepers of our football history,” the message stated.

Nikolay Lyubarsev was born on November 1, 1942, in Tashkent. He was a student of the Taganrog football school.

During his professional football career, he played for football clubs such as “Pakhtakor,” “Tractor Pavlodar,” and “Torpedo Taganrog.” He participated in a total of 150 matches in the USSR Championship High League and reached the finals of the 1967/1968 USSR Cup.

Additionally, he served as a coach for various football clubs, including “Pakhtakor,” “Zarafshon,” “Kosonsoy,” “Khorazm,” “Yangiyer,” and “Navbahor.”
