Uzbek para-athletes excel at the World Championship with 13 medals

Uzbek para-athletes achieved remarkable success at the Para Athletics World Championship in Kobe, Japan, securing 13 medals: 7 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze. This impressive performance earned them 3rd place overall, as reported by the Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan.

Over a thousand para-athletes from 103 countries competed in the event. The Uzbek national team outperformed top nations such as Great Britain, the USA, Germany, India, and Iran, marking their best result in World Championship history.

During the competition, Nurkhon Qurbonova and Asila Mirzayorova set new world records in their respective events.

Previously, Uzbek para-athletes had finished 10th and 9th in the last two world championships.
