Uzbek rescuers returned from Turkey (video)

After 18 days of successful search and rescue operations in Turkey, the detachment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations returned to Uzbekistan.  This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It is noted that today, 25 February, the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan were welcomed by the mass media, public representatives, the Minister of Emergency Situations and other officials at the Tashkent International Airport.

For information, on 6 February this year, tens of thousands of people died as a result of a terrible earthquake in the southeastern regions of Turkey.  According to the order of the President of Uzbekistan, a search and rescue team of 100 people from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was sent to the center of the natural disaster, that is, Hatay region.  The rescue operation with the participation of the squad, lasted more than 2 weeks and during this time, the rescuers retrieved 18 living people and about 200 bodies from the rubble.
