An Uzbek judo player won a gold medal at the international tournament

Day 1 of the Judo Grand Prix in Almada, Portugal has ended.  The national team of Uzbekistan started the competition with a gold medal.

Muhriddin Tilolov, who participated in the -66 kg weight category, won a gold medal at the end of the day’s competitions.  In the final, Tilolov defeated two-time Olympic medalist An Baul from Korea.

It should be noted that a total of 544 athletes from 81 countries are participating in the Almada Grand Prix.  14 judokas of the national team of Uzbekistan will compete in the tournament.  The competition will last until 29 January.

For information, 28-year-old Muhriddin Tilolov has already won the 2016 Tashkent Grand Prix.
