Uzbek boxers conclude World Cup in Brazil with 5 gold medals

6856The Boxing World Cup, organized by “World Boxing,” has officially concluded in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. Uzbekistan’s national team delivered an outstanding performance, securing a total of five gold, two silver, and one bronze medal.
The tournament was particularly memorable for Uzbek boxers. Asilbek Jalilov emerged victorious in the 50 kg weight category, claiming the gold medal. Similarly, Fazliddin Erkinboev dominated the 75 kg division, while Javohir Ummataliyev triumphed in the 80 kg category. Turabek Habibullaev also earned a gold medal in the 90 kg weight class, and Jahongir Zokirov claimed first place in the +90 kg category.
Mirazizbek Mirzahalilov and Akmaljon Isroilov came close to the gold but secured silver medals in the 55 kg and 85 kg categories, respectively. Meanwhile, Madiyar Daniyarov showcased his skills in the 60 kg weight division and earned a well-deserved bronze medal.
In terms of overall team rankings, Uzbekistan emerged as the top-performing nation at the tournament. With a total of five gold, two silver, and one bronze medal, the team secured first place. The host nation, Brazil, followed in second place with three gold, two silver, and four bronze medals. Kazakhstan rounded out the top three, claiming three gold medals (two in men’s categories and one in women’s), along with three bronze medals.
The success of Uzbekistan’s team at the World Boxing Cup highlights their continued excellence in the sport and cements their position as one of the world’s leading boxing nations.
