Uzbek boxer Saidjamshid Jafarov wins IBA “Pro European Champion” belt

8570On January 31, the IBA "Champions Night" boxing tournament took place in Moscow, where Uzbek boxer Saidjamshid Jafarov defeated the host athlete, Dmitry Zakharov, to win the prestigious IBA "Pro European Champion" belt.
The event, held at the Luzhniki complex, saw Jafarov compete in the 71 kg weight category. After a full six rounds, Jafarov emerged victorious, securing the win by points.
This victory follows Jafarov's previous fight on November 30, 2024, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, where he defeated Russian boxer Gor Oganesyan by points. That match marked Jafarov’s professional boxing debut, following his success as a world amateur boxing champion.
