Wheat made up the largest share of Uzbekistan's imports from abroad between January-June of the current year.  Most of the food products were imported from Kazakhstan.  This was reported by the State Statistics Committee.

The value of certain types of food products imported to Uzbekistan between January-June 2022:

• Wheat - for 375.4 million US dollars;
• Sugarcane - for 185.3 million US dollars;
• Margarine products - for 156 million US dollars;
• Beef - for 98.6 million US dollars;
• Wheat flour - 63.4 million US dollars;
• Potatoes - for 55.5 million US dollars;
• Cocoa and chocolate - 53 million US dollars;
• Dairy products - 38 million US dollars;
• Food products for children - for 35 million US dollars;
• Banana - for 26.5 million US dollars;
• Tea - for 23 million US dollars;
• Poultry meat - 22 million US dollars;
• Maize - for 21 million US dollars;
• Coffee - for 15 million US dollars;
• Confectionery products - for 12.5 million US dollars.
Countries with a high share of food imports between January-June of the current year:
• Kazakhstan - 37.9 percent;
• Russia - 25.6 percent;
• Brazil – 11.9 percent;
• Belarus – 4.3 percent;
• Pakistan – 2.9 percent;
• Other countries - 17.4 percent.
