Admission dates announced for religious educational institutions in Uzbekistan

Admission to higher and secondary specialized religious educational institutions in Uzbekistan will begin on June 25 this year. This was announced by the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan.

It was noted that the admission process will be conducted at the following higher educational institutions:

  • Tashkent Islamic Institute named after Imam Bukhari

  • Mir Arab Higher Madrasah

  • Hadith Science School

  • Imam Termizi Islamic Institute

  • All secondary specialized Islamic educational institutions

Admissions will continue from June 25 to July 20.

Applicants wishing to enroll in higher religious educational institutions must submit the following documents to the admissions committee:

  • An application addressed to the rector of the educational institution

  • A copy of a passport or ID card (original must be presented)

  • A document confirming graduation from a secondary specialized Islamic educational institution (diploma) and a copy of its appendix (original must be presented)

  • Six color photographs (3.5 x 4.5 cm), taken within the last three months on a white background

Additionally, applicants who are citizens of Uzbekistan and have graduated from foreign religious educational institutions, with diplomas recognized and validated in Uzbekistan, may also submit their documents.

Applicants wishing to enroll in secondary specialized Islamic educational institutions must submit the following documents to the admissions committee:

  • An application addressed to the head of the educational institution

  • A copy of a passport or ID card (original must be presented)

  • A copy of a certificate or diploma of education (original must be presented)

  • Six color photographs (3.5 x 4.5 cm), taken within the last three months on a white background

  • An original document certifying foreign language proficiency (for those taking exams in a language other than the foreign language indicated in their educational documents)

For your information, applicants will be charged a fee of half the basic calculation amount (187,500 soums) for participating in the entrance exams to higher and secondary specialized religious educational institutions. However, those who completed their studies this year and are applying to secondary specialized Islamic institutions are exempt from this fee.

It is worth noting that the registration of applicants for admission to higher educational institutions for the 2025–2026 academic year began on June 5.
