A 3-magnitude earthquake hit Uzbekistan at 04:00 on August 18, the Republican center for seismological monitoring and forecasting reported. 

It is stated that the epicenter of the earthquake is 25 km southeast of Tashkent. Magnitude: 2,9. The depth: 10 km. The epicenter: Parkent district, Tashkent. The earthquake coordinates: latitude 41.12° N, longitude 69.45° E. The intensity at the epicenter: level 3. 

The intensity in the territory of Uzbekistan: 

- Yuqori Chirchiq District: intensity 2–3 points, 7 km  

- O‘rta Chirchiq District: intensity 2 points, 11 km 

- Nurafshon City: intensity 2 points, 12 km  

- Bektimir District: intensity 2 points, 16 km  

- Yangi Hayot District: intensity 2 points, 20 km
