13710The average monthly salary in Uzbekistan has reached 5 million soums, according to the Statistics Agency.
From January to July this year, the average monthly nominal salary in Uzbekistan was 5 million 92 thousand soums, compared to 4 million 337 thousand soums in the same period in 2023. The data for January - June 2024 are preliminary, while the data for previous periods are final.
Additionally, the Statistics Agency reported the highest average monthly nominal wages for the first half of the year were observed in Tashkent city (8.4 million soums), Navoi (6.6 million soums), Tashkent region (4.9 million soums), Andijan (4.4 million soums), and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (4.2 million soums).
The highest growth rates of average monthly nominal wages over the six-month period were recorded in Tashkent (20.2 percent), Samarkand (18.2 percent), Andijan (17.6 percent), Fergana (16.8 percent), and Navoi (16.2 percent).
Average monthly salaries by economic activity are as follows:
- Banking, insurance, leasing, credit, and brokerage activities: 14.4 million soums
- Information and communication: 12.4 million soums
- Transportation and storage: 7.7 million soums
- Industry: 6.2 million soums
- Sales: 5.9 million soums
- Construction: 5.4 million soums
- Accommodation and catering services: 4.6 million soums
- Education: 3.5 million soums
- Healthcare and social services: 3.3 million soums
