A new scholarship program established by the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change is set to benefit students in Uzbekistan. This initiative is outlined in the presidential decision “On measures to organize the activities of the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies (Green University)” signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the decision, starting from September 1 of this year, the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change Scholarship will be available for exceptionally talented students pursuing higher education in fields such as ecology, environmental protection, forestry, the “green” economy, hydrometeorology, and other high-demand areas within the domain of ecology and environment.

Under the terms of the scholarship, students enrolled in fee-contract programs will receive a one-year stipend equivalent to three times the Basic Calculation Amount (BHM) per month, amounting to 990 thousand sums. Students studying under state grants will be awarded monthly scholarships amounting to six times the BHM, totaling 1 million 980 thousand sums.

It is worth mentioning that in April of this year, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports established a scholarship program, and in January, a state scholarship named after Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was introduced for students studying history and geography.
