When will the presidential election be held in Uzbekistan?

In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the early election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is scheduled for 9th of July 2023.  This was announced by Sherzod Asadov, Press Secretary of the President.

"According to Articles 110 and 128 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Article 66 of the Election Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan should be scheduled for 9th July 2023 ahead of schedule.  This decree must be sent to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan," the decree reads.
