6116Two Uzbekistan citizens who were wanted in their home country have been apprehended in Russia. The press service of the regional department of Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported their arrest.
According to the report, Russian police conducted raids on bars in Rostov to locate former immigrants who had not fulfilled military service registration requirements. During these operations, they arrested two individuals who had committed a crime in Uzbekistan and subsequently fled to Russia.
The department also mentioned that law enforcement officials from Uzbekistan expressed gratitude to their Russian counterparts for their cooperation.
The report underscores the collaboration between foreign law enforcement agencies in combating crime and enhancing bilateral cooperation, aimed at ensuring citizen safety.
In a separate incident, the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Moscow has initiated a criminal case against two Uzbek nationals accused of raping a woman in northwest Moscow. The assault occurred during the night of June 20 near a residence on Stratonavtov Street, where the two men allegedly violently attacked and raped an unidentified woman.
