In which region are the most babies born in Uzbekistan?

681,760 live births were registered in Uzbekistan between January-September of this year.  This was reported by the State Statistics Committee.

According to the Statistics Committee, this figure has increased by 11,085 compared to the same period last year.

The largest number of births was recorded in Samarkand, Fergana and Kashkadarya regions.  The least number of babies were born in Jizzakh, Navoi, and Syrdarya regions.

 • Republic of Karakalpakstan – 30863;
 • Jizzakh region – 29802;
 • Navoi region – 19652;
 • Syrdarya region – 17369.
