Uzbekistan has made changes to "child allowance" and other social payments. A number of social payments are now administered by the National Agency of Social Protection, as announced on the agency's official page.

Effective January 1, 2024, the following social payments have been transferred to the National Agency of Social Protection:
- Age allowance
- Survivor's allowance
- Allowance for a legal representative caring for disabled children under 18 years
- Allowance for persons with disabilities since childhood (group 1 and 2, over 18)
- Allowance for disabled people of groups 1 and 2
- Child benefit for low-income families
- Financial assistance to low-income families
- One-time allowance at the birth of a child
- Funeral allowance

The current procedure for applying, reviewing, appointing, and disbursing these social payments remains unchanged. Citizens can now direct their queries regarding these payments to the "Inson" social service centers in districts or cities.

Previously, social protection services in Uzbekistan were managed by various organizations. However, gradually, these issues will be transferred to the National Agency.
