Plans are underway to initiate warnings to the population regarding dust storms and air pollution in Uzbekistan. This initiative was announced in President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's decree 'On the State Program for the Implementation of the 'Uzbekistan - 2030' Strategy in Support of Youth and Business.'

Effective from March 1st, when dust storms occur in Uzbekistan and when it is determined that fine dispersed particles in the air exceed specified norms, a system for alerting the population will be established. Additionally, mandatory requirements will be implemented to reduce the emission of dust and sand particles from construction sites.

Furthermore, citizens suffering from cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, as well as those highly sensitive to air pollution, will receive regular updates on necessary preventive measures.

Moreover, it has been mandated to introduce obligatory measures for preventing the release of dust and sand particles into the air from construction sites larger than 500 square meters and access roads.
