Yesterday 6 June, Uzbekistan sent another round of humanitarian aid to Uzbekistan.  This was announced by the head of the administration of the Zakarpattia region (oblast) Viktor Mikita.

According to him, more than 19 tons of medicines were delivered to the humanitarian center in Slovakia, and then to the Zakarpattia region.

“We are talking about antibiotics and vitamins - 12 products with a total volume of more than 200,000 units.  The amount of aid will exceed 1 million dollars.  This is the second round of humanitarian aid within the framework of cooperation with the Uzbekistan delegation”, - Viktor Mikita said.

It is reported that medicines will be immediately directed to military medical personnel in combat zones and hospitals in which the defenders are being treated.

“We sincerely thank Uzbek friends, entrepreneurs, volunteers, and personally Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Uzbekistan Nikolay Doroshenko for establishing coordination and effective humanitarian corridor”, - Viktor Nikita said.

It should be noted that this is the second time humanitarian aid has been sent by Uzbekistan to Ukraine.  For the first time, more than 34 tons of humanitarian aid were sent from Uzbekistan to Ukraine on 8 April.  The package consisted of medicines, individual first-aid kits, long-term storage products, and 21 items, totaling more than 400,000 items.
