Uzbekistan will develop tourism with Turkic states

Uzbekistan will implement the tourism concept of "Blessed pilgrimage" to develop tourism with the Turkic countries.  This is stated in the decision of the president of Uzbekistan "On measures to rapidly develop cooperation in the field of tourism with Turkish countries" adopted on 29 July of the current year.

The tourism concept "Blessed pilgrimage" was confirmed in the document.  It implies the following:

• Further strengthening of relations in the field of tourism with member countries of the Organization of Turkic States;

• organization of tours to places of pilgrimage and cultural heritage and development of new travel routes;

• organize regular promotional events within the framework of pilgrimage and cultural-historical tourism;

• Conducting seminars, symposiums, conferences, and scientific and practical conferences on the scientific and cultural heritage of great scholars in Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shahrisabz, Margilan, Kukand, Termiz, and other historical cities - attracting tourists by publishing materials in popular publications;

• Preparation of scientific and analytical materials, art, theater and film works, videos, books, handouts, and other forms of propaganda materials in cooperation with member states of the Organization of Turkic States;

• Creation and promotion of the "Blessed pilgrimage" brand through mutual cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
From 2023, every two years:

• an exhibition and a scientific conference on the topic "Importance of Margilan silk fabrics in the international market" in Margilan in the third week of May;

• "Turkic-speaking youth" international festival for students and young people of higher education institutions in cooperation with the International "Turksoy" organization in July;

• In the third week of August, the international media tour "Blessed pilgrimage" will be organized for business entities, mass media representatives, journalists, and bloggers of the Turkic countries, and meetings in "B2B" format as part of it.

The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage was instructed to organize the tourism platform "Blessed pilgrimage" in the languages of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States until 1 October 2022.

At Kokan University, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Practice center, Academic Hostel, and Academic Tourism center, an open library and publishing house for the University and the public will be established, and it will be provided with modern educational literature and library fund on tourism issues.

Until 1 November 2022, the "Kokand" art residency, as well as the international marathon "Golden Valley Marathon" will be organized under the Cultural Heritage agency as a state institution.

The decision confirmed the followings:

• Plan of measures to implement the tourism concept " Blessed pilgrimage " within the Turkish world;

• Program of cultural and educational events to be implemented in 2022-2023 in connection with the city of Kokand receiving the status of "Tourism Capital of the Turkish World";

• List of objects of material cultural heritage to be restored and perfectly repaired located in the city of Kokand;

• In 2022, the program of practical measures for the development of the infrastructure of the city of Kokhan.
