A team of engineers has arrived in Afghanistan to lay the groundwork for the Trans-Afghan railway project. During their visit, a discussion took place between Uzbekistan's Minister of Transportation, Ilhom Mahkamov, and Amirkhon Muttaqiy, who currently serves as the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Taliban's interim government. This was reported by "Halva."

Makhkamov mentioned that in the coming weeks, another delegation from Uzbekistan will travel to Afghanistan with equipment to commence the practical aspects of laying tracks.

Furthermore, representatives from the Taliban's oil and gas sector deliberated on Afghanistan's hydrocarbon production with the Ministry of Mining and Industry. Conversely, the Taliban raised matters concerning the purchase of 1 million tons of coal and the establishment of a madrasa named after Imam al-Bukhari in Mazar-e-Sharif.

It's worth noting that in March, Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, visited Afghanistan and held discussions with Taliban leadership.
