Russian military personnel have arrived in Uzbekistan to take part in the “Partnership-2025” joint tactical training exercise. The announcement was made today, July 14, by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the report, Russian army units traveled to the “Termez” training ground in a convoy of military and specialized vehicles. Their route covered more than 300 kilometers through mountainous areas of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
“During the drills, military units will practice commanding formations in identifying and eliminating small illegal armed groups that have crossed the state border,” the ministry stated.
The main Russian contingent includes mountain and assault units, electronic warfare mobile groups, as well as teams operating reconnaissance UAVs and FPV drones. Additionally, Mi-24 combat helicopter crews from the aviation unit will also participate.
The joint Russia-Uzbekistan military exercise “Partnership-2025” will take place at the Termez training ground from July 15 to 21.
As a reminder, earlier this year, in April, the India-Uzbekistan joint military exercise “Friendship-2025” was held at the Aundh International Training Base in Pune, India.
