Central Bank of Uzbekistan's gold reserves increased

In November 2024, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan boosted its gold reserves by 9 tons, according to the World Gold Council (WGC).

This marks Uzbekistan's first gold purchase since July 2024. As a result, the bank's net gold purchases for the year have reached 11 tons, bringing its total gold reserves to 382 tons.

Among the largest buyers of gold during this period was the National Bank of Poland, which increased its reserves by 21 tons. Additionally, the central banks of India, Kazakhstan, and China each bought 5 tons of gold, while Singapore emerged as the primary seller, offloading 5 tons.

It is also important to note that in October 2024, Uzbekistan sold gold valued at $833.4 million. Since the start of the year, the total volume of its precious metal exports has surpassed $6.6 billion.
