It is noted that in a swift operation conducted by the State Security Service in cooperation with the border troops and military personnel of "Tashkent-Aero" IBK, the activities of a cross-border criminal group involved in the illegal import of a large quantity of substandard drugs from India through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan were exposed.
Specifically, the criminal group transported the drugs via the Delhi-Tashkent-Almaty route to Almaty International Airport. From there, the drugs were delivered to the Dostlik residential area in the Saryogoch district of the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan, and subsequently transferred to the "Orikzor" MFY area in the Tashkent district of the Tashkent region.
During the operation, 17,048 units of various drugs, comprising 107 different types, such as "Albumin," "Remdesivir," and "Meropenem," manufactured in India and valued at 1 billion 94 million 342 thousand soums, were seized as material evidence from the members of the criminal group.
Notably, the length of the underground road connecting the house of a citizen born in 1975 in the "Orikzor" MFY of the Tashkent district with the settlement of "Dostlik" in the Saryogoch district of Kazakhstan is 310 meters. The underground passage was equipped with air ventilation, a lighting system, carts, and ropes for cargo transportation.
"According to the situation, a criminal case has been initiated against the members of the criminal group under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of imprisonment has been applied," the report states.
