Today, on November 15, following negotiations at the Kuksaroy residence in Tashkent, the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, signed a joint statement, the press services of both leaders reported.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the following documents:
- A Supreme Intergovernmental Council decree on the establishment of a council of regional leaders from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan;
- A Supreme Intergovernmental Council decree on the creation of a bilateral working group for the extraction of geological, rare, and precious metals;
- A Supreme Intergovernmental Council decree on the formation of a bilateral working group for forecasting water levels in transboundary rivers.
During the visit, several additional documents were signed, including:
- An agreement on joint management and rational use of transboundary water bodies;
- An agreement on opening customs service offices;
- An agreement on coordinating the use of radio frequencies for civil purposes by terrestrial radio services in border regions;
- An agreement on conducting joint military exercises;
- An agreement on establishing a joint investment platform;
- A joint action plan for cooperation in the tourism sector for 2026–2027;
- A program of cooperation between the Ministries of Justice for 2025–2026;
- A memorandum on developing cooperation in the mining industry;
- A memorandum on cooperation between the Uzbekistan Agency for Youth Affairs and the “Assembly of Youth” public association;
- A memorandum of understanding between the Ministries of Health on providing specialized medical care;
- A memorandum of understanding between medical insurance funds;
- A cooperation agreement between the Tashkent city administration and Astana city administration;
- A cooperation agreement between ’’Uzbekneftegaz’’ and ’’KazMunayGaz’’ joint-stock companies.
