Online ticket sales for Uzbekistan–Qatar match canceled

The Uzbekistan national football team will face Qatar on June 10 at the Bunyodkor Stadium in Tashkent as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying round. However, tickets for this crucial match will be sold offline only, according to an official statement from the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA).
The decision to cancel online ticket sales was made in coordination with law enforcement agencies and the ticketing platform, based on issues encountered during previous matches. Tickets will now only be available for purchase at designated physical locations: Humo Arena, Bunyodkor Stadium, and Pakhtakor Stadium.
“These tickets are specially coded. During previous matches, fraudsters forged electronic tickets, preventing many fans from entering the stadium. To prevent such incidents from recurring, tickets will now be sold offline only,” the UFA stated.
The UFA also noted that additional information regarding the start date of ticket sales will be announced soon.
As part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers — jointly hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada — Uzbekistan will play the United Arab Emirates on June 5 in Abu Dhabi, followed by the home match against Qatar on June 10. Under the leadership of head coach Temur Kapadze, Uzbekistan currently sits second in Group A with 17 points. Securing just one point in the upcoming match against the UAE would be enough for Uzbekistan to advance to the next stage of qualification ahead of schedule.
It’s worth noting that tickets allocated to Uzbek fans for the June 5 match against the UAE at Al-Nahyan Stadium have already sold out. Any purchases made by Uzbek fans in sections reserved for the home team will be canceled, and fans have been urged to respect seating regulations.
