30015The Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs has issued a warning to football fans regarding suspicious travel packages being sold ahead of the Uzbekistan–UAE World Cup qualifier. The statement was released by the department's press service.
According to officials, some travel companies are promoting tour packages that claim to include guaranteed tickets for the match between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates, scheduled for June 5. However, official tickets for the match in the UAE have not yet been released.
The Main Department of Internal Affairs is urging fans to exercise caution.
“Purchasing unverified travel packages based on promises of guaranteed tickets increases the risk of financial loss or fraud,” the report said.
As a reminder, the Uzbekistan national football team will face the UAE on June 5 and Qatar on May 10 in Tashkent as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The tournament will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
Uzbekistan, led by head coach Temur Kapadze, currently sits in second place in Group A with 17 points. If the team secures at least one point against the UAE, it will qualify for the next round of the World Cup qualifiers ahead of schedule.
