It becomes known how much Uzbekistan increased its gold reserves in June

According to the latest estimates of the World Gold Council, in June of the current year, Central banks around the world increased their gold reserves by 59 tons.

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan filled its reserves with 8.7 tons of gold.  In general, the main bank of the country has bought an average of 9 tons of gold every month since April.  It is noted that 60% of Uzbekistan's total reserves are gold.

In June, the Central Bank of Iraq bought 34 tons of gold which is the highest index for the period given.  This was the first increase in reserves since the purchase of 7 tons of gold in 2018. Currently, Iraq's gold reserves are 130 tons.

Turkey is also replenishing its reserves with gold.  Last month, the Bank of Turkey added 7.7 tons of gold to its reserves.  In the first quarter of the current year alone, the Central Bank of Turkey increased its gold reserves by 37 tons.  It now owns more than 455 tons of gold, which is almost 30 percent of its reserve assets.

In June, the Central Bank of Kazakhstan increased its gold reserves by 4.2 tons.  In addition, India - 3.7 tons, Bangladesh - 0.1 tons, Czech Republic - 0.5 tons, Mexico - 0.1 tons and Mongolia - 0.1 tons of gold bought.

It should be noted that in the second quarter of the current year, Uzbekistan became one of the largest buyers of gold and increased its reserves by 26.44 tons.
