There are things we don’t know about pharmaceuticals in Uzbekistan

They say that no one knows someone else’s pain.  Today, many others have already forgotten the “Dok-1 Max” incident, which resulted in the death of 20 children. QALAMPIR.UZ regularly publishes reports, surveys and interviews on this topic.

This time, the editorial reporter is responsible for the quality control, laboratory and registration,and the certification of drugs entering Uzbekistan after the “Dok-1 Max” incident. In addition, the Expertise of Medicines, Medical Devices and Medical Equipment and standardization was in the state center and was observed at a meeting conducted by the Minister of Health Amrillo Inoyatov.

Minister Inoyatov also noted that the main responsible body in the “Dok-1 Max” incident is the Center for Expertise and Standardization of Medicines, Medical Products and Medical Equipment.

Enumerating the mistakes and shortcomings of the center, he said that its staff is extremely large, even surpassing the entire Ministry of Health in this regard.

“The total number of employees of the organizational structure of the center is 484, of which 90 are managers and management employees, i.e. 20%.  134 senior employees work in the Ministry of Health,” said the minister.

Amrullo Inoyatov said that officials of the standardization center regularly issued forged certificates to Indian drugs, and destroyed documents on “Dok-1 Max”.

“Ampicid”, “Valast”, “Foroza” drugs of the Indian company “Valast pharmaceutical” were brought to the expert council, and although they were not signed by the chairman of the expert council and the secretary due to the objections of the members of the council, the responsible persons of the Center  Illegally issued a fake certificate for these medicines,” says Amrillo Inoyatov.

At the meeting, Inoyatov touched on the mistakes and shortcomings made by the employees of this center over the years.

Among them, there are employees who falsify certificates for drugs, employ them for bribes, and bring in rodents for experiments, the documents for which show a large number, when in fact, there is a lot less in reality. 

However, the guilt of these employees has not yet been fully confirmed.  Although the minister is saying this, the accusations against them cannot be considered completely true.

There are many people responsible for the death of the 20 babies.  Those listed by the minister today are only a part of them.
