Uzbekistan sues the Ukrainian government for accusations of Iranian drones

The Republic of Uzbekistan does not cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the military-technical sphere.  This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, reacting to the information about the assembly of Iranian drones in the territory of Uzbekistan, where a video interview of Ukrainian journalist and blogger Dmitry Gordon with Israeli businessman Leonid Nevzlin was shown.

"We would like to inform you separately that the Republic of Uzbekistan does not cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran in the military-technical sphere and does not collect Iranian military equipment on its territory," said the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is noted that until now, neither Ukraine nor other foreign partners have received official appeals regarding the issue of "Collection of Iranian drones".

"In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan instructed the official government of Ukraine to prevent the dissemination of such groundless accusations and other unreliable information about Uzbekistan in the Ukrainian mass media, which could damage bilateral relations. appeals to take appropriate measures", concludes the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon and former Russian billionaire Leonid Nevzlin, who lives in Israel, claimed that the drones supplied by Iran to Russia are also being assembled in Uzbekistan.

After that, the State Committee of the Defense Industry of Uzbekistan categorically denied reports that Uzbekistan is a production site for Iranian combat drones used in military operations in Ukraine.
