Uzbekistan was recognized as the best country for chess this year after the sensational victories of Uzbek chess players in international arenas over the past year. This was reported by “Europe Chess”.
At the end of the “Tata Steel Chess-2023” international tournament held in the Netherlands, Uzbekistani chess players Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Javahir Sindorov received the “Tour D’or” – “Golden Tower” prize, which is awarded to the best chess country of the year.
The famous French grandmaster Bashar Quatly presented the European chess prize to the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan.
It should be recalled that Abdusattorov and Sindorov defeated strong chess players in their groups at the “Tata Steel Chess-2023” competition and were among the winners.
