The Agreement between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on the demarcation of the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan state border has been ratified. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law on June 30 of this year.

With the agreement, the work on establishing the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan state border has been completed, and the most important conditions have been created to ensure border security and integrity.

For your information, the contractual document on this issue was signed on December 21, 2022, during the state visit of President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, together with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the agreement, the length of the demarcated state border between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan is over 2356 kilometers.

To recall, on March 28 of this year, President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan signed the law ratifying the agreement on the demarcation of the state border between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Additionally, on June 23, 2023, during the forty-second plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the senators approved the law "On Ratification of the Agreement on the Demarcation of the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan State Border"."
