Ulugmuradov’s case will be considered in the Supreme Court

In the case of Jahangir Ulugmurodov, who was imprisoned for 3 years for sending a prohibited message to a group of 10 people on Telegram, an application was submitted to the Supreme Court’s Criminal Trial Panel in the cassation procedure.  His lawyer Abdumalik Abdullayev informed about this on his Telegram channel.

On July 17 of this year, the verdict against Jahangir Ulugmuradov was left unchanged, and the appeals were left unsatisfied.

Lawyer Abdullayev said in his video message that he and Ulugmurodov’s parents went to the Supreme Court today, July 19, and filed a cassation petition.

Earlier, it was reported in the notice of the Supreme Court that an appeal or a protest can be filed against the ruling, which was left unchanged.

We remind you that according to the judgment of the Akkurgan District Court on Criminal Cases dated May 8, 2023, Jahangir Ulug’muradov was charged with Article 244-1 of the Criminal Code (preparation, storage of materials that threaten public safety and public order,  distribution or demonstration) using Article 57 of the Criminal Code (imposing a lighter sentence) with paragraph 3, paragraph “g”, a sentence of 3 years of imprisonment was imposed.
